english dubbs are awefull for some animes, that said i actually started with dbz english dub at first

Code Geass

Haibane Renmei for a change of pace. Chillaxed, sweet, but also mysterious and with a feeling that all the lore has actual meaning and significance, even if not much of it is explored in depth.

Wolf's Rain and Witch Hunter Robin will always have a special place in my heart. The first having significance given I bought it after the lowest point of my old depression, and WHR just because it was great to chill out to late at night.

Hajime no Ippo / Fighting Spirit gets my personal award for most surprisingly awesome anime. You'd imagine there isn't much you can do with something focused around a sport, but it really hooked me!

PS: I hate otakus.

• Evangelion (I prefer the series ending, though the film's one is also good).
• Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (most epic shit I've ever seen).
• Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka? (can't be explained with logic).
• K Project (a series you love or hate, and it was the first one for me).
• Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (almost a perfect anime to me).
• Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko (a kinda generic harem comedy, but still better than the average for me).

Also, even though it is a korean manga, The Breaker and it's second season, The Breaker: New Waves. Shame they still have no anime version (and it will almost certainly remain this way).

I have watched a LOT anime and i will say Great Teacher Onizuka, School Rumble and Slam Dunk since they are the only ones that i have watched 3+ times

Berserk, mushi-shi, kino's journey

I cannot weigh in because I have only seen a few anime thanks to friends-full metal alchemist, sailor moon, Inuyasha, Chobits, and Tenchi.

As most of those were not mentioned by the others I will assume my friends have slacked in my introduction to anime lol.

Why is many people just comment the classic animes? I mean, is like in literature, saying that you like the classics like you like Homero, or Dickens, Tolstoi; here is i like Evangelion, Akira,....i dont know, it is not wrong to like those, but to me it just feel like pretentious. I get you love 5 star anime, ok.

My best anime? Bobobo. Best anime ever.

And im surprised nobody said Shingeki no Kyojin, it was awesome. In other hand I really love Ranma 1/2. It was my first anime, and it would be my first if i didnt know Bobobo. I enjoy so much Chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai, Kore wa zombie desu ka, Baka to Test, Highschool DxD (yeah, blame me, i like the "shit", not epic animes), Sakurasou, SAO, Accel World, One piece is my eternal love.... , Bleach was so intense in some parts, DB and DBZ were great, The World God Only Knows is almost perfect in my opinion, Slayers, Toradora!, Tasogare Otome x Amnesia, and there are so many more, theres just too much love in the anime, but, hate me, i dont like mechas or classy animes like so many you mention.
