Neat, would have been funny if they just offered Disc 1 for ME2.

I could just shop a pic... but I don't want to.

That's weird. Bioware or EA isnt really under any obligations to fix anything.

Good thing Black Ops II uses steam and can just download the missing data

It isnt under ANY obligation to do ANYTHING. EA and by connected Bioware are not responsible for the error, nor do they own any part of BOII.

Its simply a PR stunt to score a jab against Activision and maybe earn some positive PR.

Which EA needs. They aren't doing so well.

Now that is one misleading thread title. I thought there was some puzzle giveaway.

I predict that the top searched image for the next 12 hours on Google images will be "Black Ops 2 Mass Effect 2 disc"... (」゚ペ)」

Wow. Just when you think Bioware has completely given themselves over to their evil EA overlords...

Or did EA put them up to this in an attempt to make it seem that way? Hmm...

Ah but seriously, this is really awesome. Kudos Bioware!

The real question: Is it worth the trouble of photoshopping a disc cover for mass effect trilogy?

lolno

It's funny because the disc isn't proof of anything, they all look the same regardless of whether they contain Mass Effect 2 or not.

Exactly, the data was the only difference. I'd be willing to bet that of those 50 winners/entries the majority of them had perfectly fine Black Ops 2 discs.

I have to bump this, as Bioware very kindly came back to me with a key for the Mass Effect Trilogy! Clearly they have a sense of humour (or maybe they just took pity on my lame effort!).

Now to try and set up Origin in Sandboxie :)

..What. No fucking way. Also, why are you trying to sandbox your origin?

Way :) I couldn't believe it when I opened the email!

To prevent that nasty little SOB from snooping around my PC.

Having had a play around, I'll probably just install another copy of Windows on a different drive, and boot to that when I want to dip my toes in EA's pool without Origin dipping its fingers into mine...

NO way? they really send it to you? I was thinking of doing the exact same thing but figured it wasn't worth it :p

Yup. I was really just having a bit of fun, hoping it might give someone at their office a giggle. Was astounded when I received the key in my email!

"G'day,

I read the "Answering the Call" article on your blog with interest. I'd say that finding Mass Effect 2 in the Black Ops II case would be considered by most to be a significant upgrade...

Well, I have included a picture of my face taken at the exact moment when I found I had received this bounteous upgrade.

Hopefully you will continue your generous policy of free enhancements for customers of other inferior games manufacturers.

Keep up the good work."

I think it's fair to say that as of today, "all the internet are belong to Bioware" :)

Was absolutely gobsmacked! I genuinely sent the email as a bit of fun, with absolutely zero expectation of getting anything in return. I also feel slightly bad, as I didn't buy ME3 due to EA/Origin. Well, it certainly won't go to waste... I'm setting up a second copy of Windows especially for the task!

Really nice gesture from them (and thoroughly unmerited, since I didn't even buy COD:BO2, let alone find myself suffering from the ME disc issues...)
