Which should I start on next?
There is really crappy book guys. There is awesome books and authors but don't idealize books per se.

Yes, it is more complex than in-game Gwent, but i don't think it is too complex overall. It took less then a week to understand mechanics (I am not playing more than an hour daily btw), other than that just memorizing the cards. One thing certain is it is one of the most generous f2p titles you can play, and you always feel you are progressing.
With the new update, it is on IOS and shortly coming to Android, so there are some good changes for newcomers and i think you will like the game overall. You won't lose anything anyway, that is what good about f2p games :)
(Not pressuring, but if you are gonna try it may i share a referral code with you? It gives some bonuses both to you and me :)

And this is my GoG profile --> https://www.gog.com/u/Mugen.
You can add me, I am not a pro in the game but i can help you about the game, or we can play some friendly matches for fun :)

I tried it and didn't care for the game myself. It's unfortunate that in June it will no longer be able to be played on consoles anymore. Hopefully the PC and mobile version won't see a similar fate in the near future.
I truly hate it when that happens. A couple that stick out in my head were.. Might and Magic Duel of Champions, that was a big loss. I loved that game. Magic Duels although not getting updates for awhile finally announced that it ended support. Bethesda just ended support for Elder Scrolls Legends.. this hurt to see. This was such a good game in my opinion. I did stop playing it when they switched dev teams(that was a mess) and tried out MTG Arena and love it.

I am not a big fan of card games, I only played HS before and Gwent now. Personally, i am playing Gwent because
1) They are generous as fu*k. I haven't spend a single dollar, yet i have almost all legendaries in near 6 months. (In hearthstone i played a total of 5-6 legendaries in more than 6 months)
2) Art. It is AWESOME. I am doing some animations too and maybe that is why it interests me too much.
Yeah, console drop was unfortunate, especially the way they did it. They did just before new patch + event coming and console players had to wait for the switch. They could definitely do this better.
Other than that, i can understand the reason tho. They had to port new content to consoles, bugs special to consoles, the little money comes from the console (because of the low player pool) has to be shared with Sony... I can understand. Again tho, i wish they could time it better.

DD should keep you occupied. Otherwise Outer Worlds for some RPG shooter fun. Great characters.

I still haven't played DD but from what I remember it was a normal length game. Not a Skyrim or such. So, it's for normal people who actually want to finish a story ;)

Dragon age Inquisition, play with a controller and save yourself the burden.

I recently finished a binge of Star Wars rewatching all the movies after finishing The Mandaorian, seeing new ones that I hadn't before (solo) and this is why Lego Star Wars is on my list, definitely want to play it soon (aka this year sometime lol).

I'd recommend Yakuza 0. I loved the mini-games too much to progress the story >_<

There's nothing really that scratches the Witcher 3 itch.
Skyrim etc all feel shallow, empty and soulless after playing Witcher imo.
So yeah, I wouldn't even try to search for something similar. You will only get dissapointed.
Play something completely different while we all wait for Cyberpunk 2077 :)
But yes, Yakuza 0 is a great suggestion. Loved that game a lot. Probably not everyone's cup of tea but it's certainly worth giving it a try.

Risen series? and perhaps Greedfall; might be worth checking out if you've got the time.

Well, from what I've experienced having pawns that are way overlevelled for the content you're facing is pretty dumb and worsens the experience - I did that at the start with pawns of my Steam friends. But if you take the ones that are around your and you own pawn's level then it's pretty cool.
Anyway, the pawn system is still online, it was Dragon's Dogma Online that was shutting down online services. My bad.
