Error adding a friend on Steam. I have enough space on friends list - what is wrong?

Any idea what went wrong and is it only me having this problem? I can accept invites, but it seems I cannot send them to anyone, tried with a lot of profiles today, both from Steam client and through browser and it gave me an error all those times. It's been hours since this issue is happening too, any idea what that should be and am I the only one having it?

Try contacting steam. They're the only ones who can help, at least, that is what I would suppose. Course, that can't be the quickest way to do things.

I had this problem several times in the past due to a full friend list. It went away after a while after removing some folks from the list.

Block them, then unblock them, this usually works for me.
