Nothing wrong with talking to yourself. In fact, some of the best conversations you can ever have are talking to yourself.
But just be wary as that can lead to some............. Odd things, to say the least.
Such as me once losing a four way argument with myself. Still trying to figure out how that happened.

I found this funny because I "introduced" Steam games to my best friends and none of them really engaged like me... xD
I have A LOT of friends on Steam, but I still think should be good have someone close to play games sometimes.

What I do is I add every winner of my giveaways, annoy talk to them for a bit and then give them the key personally and never remove them. And- behold! I have a ton of friends! (Whom I never speak with because I'm antisocial. :D )
What I'm saying is- if you know where to look (mostly groups) there are lots of friendly people here on SteamGifts. You can also make a thread in the "Let's Play Together" category if you're looking for people to play a specific game with.
PS: There is a "Reply" button under each comment, use that to reply to people.

I don't play multiplayer games often, but here's a thread bump and best wishes in your search for friends to play with :)

Hola. I am adding you, I have seen in your library ARK, Ages of Empires II and other games that I have, but I don't know when I will able to play. Have a nice day.

Have you tried https://steamcommunity.com/groups/HaveMoreFriends?
I like adding random people, so invite sent ^^ (and if anyone passing by wants to add me, feel free to do so 👀)
PS: if you want more friends on LinkedIn too, there's a group called something like "LinkedIn Open Networkers" (LION) for that

It's actually friends-only, so lucky you you'll now see ;)

It's a bit sad though, to be forced into hiding just because a few people are assholes :/

its reality. you dont have to but much better experience overall. als it is not very common to post private stuff on steam and make it a personal profile with personal info. most gamer profiles consist of a funny or famous character and not much info.

i rarely play with anyone else on steam but would like to. i have a 5-year-old and a 3-year-old and never know when i'm going to have time to play, but maybe we could find some times that work.

dont think we play the same games. however i've been using remote play together as of lately, it works provided you have a stable connection
I, or rather "we" (referring to a portuguese group) have a discord channel and a tf2 server
Not really a talkative person though, but i do play co op games from time to time.

I'll send a friend request your way, even if it's just to say "hi" every once in a while

While I don't post on people's profiles all the time, I don't mind if my friends do that to mine. I like seeing the wonderful emote pictures that they post for me. :) I will try to reply back to them, of course, as a token of appreciation for them brightening up my day (and profile). :)
