L4D2 mods question.

Well, I'll go straight to the point, since I'm not very good at introducing things:

Are all L4D2 mods from the workshop safe from VAC bans? I have always thought so, because a company providing a place for people to distribute mods and then making them "illegal" doesn't sound like good business practice to me.

However, a few friends told me that they have gotten banned for using some mods from the workshop, so I would like to know if that is actually possible, or if they were lying/got banned for other things.

Thanks in advance. Sorry for no giveaway, but I had to buy new glasses and they are mighty expensive, I have almost no money left D:

They were banned for other things. There are no mods on the Workshop that will get you banned.

Well most of them are cosmetic mods, otherwise there are mods like aimbots and they can get you in trouble but depends of players to report you for using that kind of mods or scripts ;)
