Is Far Cry 2 Fortune's Edition's key valid on steam?

There's a gaming magazine here that gives the game when you buy it, and even though I didn't see far cry 2 on the steam's key activation list, there are websites selling the key.

If it's not on Steam's CD Key Activation list, then it doesn't. Plain and simple. I didn't really like the game, personally.

i have far cry 2 in my library, but it was bought on steam. maybe you should ask someone who bought this magazine?

Sorry, if you aren't getting it from there, it won't activate. I doubt it might even work from there, too.

This list is unfortunately not complete/not updated. There are games not on the list that will still activate. Not saying OP's game will, just saying you can't treat this list too literally. Which is sad.

Oi, olha na ultima BGamer saiu-me o Just Cause 2 e deu para ativar na Steam, se o Far Cry 2 der para ativar na Steam na capa da revista no canto inferior direito tem o simbolo da Steam.
Ou podes sempre perguntar no forum da www.bgamer.pt

Nah it will not activate it isnt steamworks...
Still, you should buy the mag. The game is awesome and the mag is even more awesome ;)

oh, and with that, i bought pc gamer yesterday, that came with a steamworks cd key, and its not on the list :P
