Hey,

I've been thinking about a new feature on SG. Recently, I stopped adding games to my wishlist and instead started following them, as my 900 wishlisted games need to be trimmed down.

Would you like a separate tab for games we follow but don't wishlist? Am I the only one using the Follow feature on Steam?

Let me know your thoughts.

Would you like a Follow Tab to check games you follow and join giveaways?

Does Steam make that information available in a way Steamgifts could use?

I think the question is is that info available through Steam API?

I think, they're asking about the steam api, since that's where the data is used for SG.

As for follow, the function is different I think. It's more for games you want to get updates for. So I don't think they get removed after getting one of the games there, for example, so you'd have to do that manually, or at least it was like that before haven't used it for a while. I seem to remember the updates were annoying, but I don't notice that now, not sure if it's because the games I still have there don't get notifications anymore or they changed the way they notify of updates.

Oh, I see. I guess you're right. That aspect slipped my mind.

Then that might cause problems, but usually you can't enter games you already own, so a workaround could be made, maybe, but they would continually show up in the tab unless you remove them.

The removed part was more to mention why I stopped using it. As you said it wouldn't interfere with SG as you can't enter for games you already own.

But, yeah I don't think "follow" is something that is shared through the api so SG has no way to get that data.

Got it. I appreciate the feedback. Then I'd close the thread since it would be redundant to keep it.
