Ssssh, quiet! It is in those percents of cents that the super moderators use a kickback scheme to become filthy rich using SteamGifts! But if you point that out, they will instantaneously send a secret a---

Reduced Value means that only 15% of the current Steam price will count towards your contributor value (CV).
You will get $0.75 each to the CV for the first 5 copies.
After you give away a game 5 times, it will decrease in the CV.
The CV is decreased by 10% for each additional copy.
In this case, you decide to give away 50 copies of a $4.99 Reduced Value game, it would add $10.44 to your CV.

You both misunderstood OP, it seems. They know the 15% rule, Their calculations in the original post are correct. They are simply asking about how rounding works under $0.01 which neither of you answered.

I am not interested in an effective way to raise the CV)
I am interested in the answer to exactly the question that I asked in the topic :)

I think only cg can tell you how numbers are rounded in the db.

Interesting. The way I would implement it I would probably internally store a higher precision (with proper rounding if my precision is not enough) for each GA then add all the high precision numbers.
That way even your first entry would be off, 4.9915%=0.7485, 50.7485=3.7425...
But this is just the "what I would do", I have no idea how CG implemented it and I don't really expect you will be getting an answer here

I found a user who have ever gifted only one game (thousands of copies). And SG says that he or she reached the theoretical maximum of 14x game's CV with an accuracy of 0.01 level (that corresponds to 0.5 CV since his or her level is 3). This means SG uses high enough precision arithmetic so that rounding does not affect the final result.

Hi! Let's say I want to giveaway 50 copies of a game that costs $4.99 on Steam.
On the Steamgifts she in the "Reduced Value" category (15% contributor value).
For the first 5 copies I will get + $3.75 to the contributor value (CV);
The next 39 copies (6-44) will add +$6.62 to the CV;
The next copy (45) will add +$0.011063491 to the CV;
The next copy (46) should add +$0.009957142 to the CV;
The last copy (50) should add +$0.006532881 to the CV.
Hence the question arises: if the CV for the game is LESS than $0.01, are these values added to the CV of the author of the giveaway or are they rounded to 0?
I need this information solely to expanding mine mind.
Thanks for answers!
