I was wondering if anyone here can recommend a cheap headset, maybe one for less than $30 lol, preferably one with a built in mic as well~

Psst! It's only a headset if it has a mic, otherwise they're headphones.

For $30 dollars... Why not just strap your computer speakers to your head.
In all seriousness, either raise your price point to at least $100, or the best I can suggest is for u to go to your local electronics store and grab whatever cheap generic they have.

I got mine at Staples for 6 bucks. Its their brand works great, people hear me nice and clear. Not the most comfy but I'm not wearing them all day, just for an hour or so while playing online with friends.

Its funny I see people getting these really expensive headsets and having all kinds of issues with them, but for like 4 or 5 years now, maybe long, I have had the same set of cheap staples headset and have had 0 problems with them. I even bought a second pair as a spare but have not opened them yet

I find that the lower end Plantronics headsets hold up pretty well for their cost -- they have some in the $15-25 range and they tend to outlast more expensive sets. I find over the head to be a lot more comfortable than behind the head or in-ear, and they also make some that seem to be designed for use at work rather than gaming that are very light and comfortable. That said, if you spend more you get much better sound quality, but if you just want to talk on vent and get some stereo they are a decent deal, and it's less sad if you roll over the cord with your chair and destroy it (not that I have EVER done that, only two times or so.)

The cheapest bluetooth headset I found was around $40 and one of the infernal behind-the-head sorts so I never got used to it, but it did have decent sound quality and pickup. There's a little more lag if you use bluetooth but less likelihood of destroying the cord.

Buy the monoprice 108323 and a Reloop RHM-10 microphone. You put the Microphone into the Headphone's jack -> cheap and suprisingly good sound - much better than most "gaming headsets" anyway.

I got these for $15 last year and they're ok. I recommend searching amazon, narrowing by 4 stars and up, below $25, and reading through reviews.

I got on Amazon the Creative Fatality headset for just 25$, sound quality is overall good for that price and the mic is clear and detachable.

I was just going to mention this. I don't buy high-end (aka high-priced) headsets, but find that the Creative HS-800 are a good value and fall into your price range.
