You can use Is There Any Deal to monitor such activity, though they rarely have false positives.
And the game was probably Mount&Blade.

+1 for Is There Any Deal. You get an email notification telling you what's been removed from your collection. Plus you get email notifications for sales on your wishlist games.

I definitely remember this past weekend being a free Chivalry weekend.

There were 2 multi-player things as trial last weekend. I don't even remember the names since they didn't really interest me. Only thing I can confirm is that they were there ;-)

Yep, they were two MP games. Don't remember the names too. Maybe Chivalry again.

I believe the two free games last weekend were Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, and Dogs of War. I know I saw Dogs of War suddenly appear in my library over the weekend, and promptly vanish along with Chivalry.

Ah!That's why I got only 1 game removed from my library, as I already own Chivalry.
I was really worried that someone scammed me and I couldn't find what the game was XD

I understand your frustration. It took me a long time to realise that my Natural Selection 2 was unplayable due to an apparently "exploited key". Steam should notify us immediately when changes like this happen.

I agree it's terribly annoying. However, the way I see it is: if you really want to play a certain game, you will find out if it has been removed from your collection. If you don't even notice the change, the game must not have been a very important game you would have wanted to play right now anyway.

Ever. Considered. Using. A. Full. Stop?

And maybe adding a few paragraphs?

Joking. Just hurts my head trying to figure out what were you trying to say.

we consented to this by buying steamworks games where steam has to be installed, as DRM goes steam isnt too bad it is drm always remember that, valve are nice only because they see the PR value attached to not being at EA levels of hatred, valve wants your money thats the only reason to do anything for them really

which is probably the reason they haven't released half-life 3 yet. The bigger demand there is the more money they will get.

the only game i'm aware of being unilaterally removed some weeks ago from people's libraries is Order of War: Challenge, for being only multiuser and dead. hopefully is the last.

Dog's of War was having a server stress test over the weekend. It was added to everybody's accounts like a free weekend.

If you categorize all your games, newly added ones will go directly into the Games category. That way, you can easily spot recently added content in your library. About games getting removed, I have no idea about how to find it out without using a gamelist log or something like that.
