Generating gift link

Hey,
I have a gift of a game in inventory that I already have, and I saw people talking that you can generate a link of it. And how do you do that? Do I need to send it to my email or...?

I'm not sure... But when people talk about gift links, they talk about link created by Humble Bundle, for purchases in the Humble Store.
I don't think you can create links for Steam gifts: you have to add the winner to your friends list, and then send him the gift through Steam.
