Why does EA keep shooting themselves in the foot
Having to haggle between the two launchers because to play dead space 3 coop was the only way was everything except fun
Thanks for the link. I'll try it later. I confirm that EA play sucks and Origin while it's not perfect, it worked. I only want that, is it too much to ask? :(

Ok. I will need some context here...
Origin already was another unwanted laucher nobody asked for and most of us pretended like it didn't exist.
So what makes that unwanted launcher superior to this unwanted launcher?
I'm genuinely asking. What are some of the biggest problems with the EA app or why was Origins better?

Do all your games show up?
I see. I'll have to finish making a list of my Origins library then.
Couple of weeks ago I wanted to check if EA actually stole my Humble Choice Squadrons key and got sidetracked making a list of my library to see which of my 2 accounts I should test the key on.
And that was literally the only time I launched Origin since the last time they had a freebie Rayman Origins or smt I believe probably 2 or 3 years ago 😅 There were soo many updates.

Probably I'm unpopular, 😅 but I actually like EA app, except that I miss the gifting feature. It also seems to be easier on my system, I got a performance boost since switching. Sure, I'd like to narrow down to one launcher, biut I don't like the idea of two launchers opened at the same time. So for me it's EA app for EA games, Steam for the rest

Ideal would be to switch while you're doing a clean install of your OS, so your system doesn't detect the old origin anymore. If there are still crumbs of it around, it's a mess...I was constantly logged out.
Older games show up for me now. I don't have the ones you mentioned but Sims 2 is discontinued, for example, and it's there. Other tip...be sure to clear EA app cache every now and then (lines at top left corner, App recovery), especially after you redeem new codes.

I haven't noticed any huge differences yet. Though I wasn't an avid user of Origin in the first place, so take that with a grain of salt.
No issue with the app seeing the two games I had installed on Origin though. Still show up on Steam, too.

They are both bad launchers, EA app is not showing owned dlc for games like Simcity for which i have the complete edition and ended up buying the cities of tomorrow dlc and it still shows as not owned but it let me buy it again (they show up ingame tho).
I had a nice rant in a support ticket to them a few months ago, never had a response, guess I went into rage mode. Hehe.
The fact that trying to buy anything on their site is a bad experience with no search option and they try to shove their subscription service on you doesn't help, a couple of months ago when I last checked it didn't show the price to just outright buy the game, it was hidden in a separate window, guess they fixed it and added links to their games on steam.
Lesson learned: Never buy anything on their platform.
