Maybe. This is just an interest thread for now.

Currently, I have two bets going on. If my friend can play 48 hours of Secret of the Magic Crystals in a week, I get him Kingdoms of Amalur. If he fails, he gets me Legend of Grimrock. Now, I've just accepted another challenge for me to play 48 hours of Secret in exchange for a $15 of my choice (Grimrock goes to the challenger if I fail).

How many of you would be interested in challenges such as this? Note that it may not always be Secret that is the game to play. I may decide to test you on another awful game that I might find. Who purchases the challenge game (if not already owned) would be decided based on what the reward is.

Read the damn thread please before you bring up the stupid idling argument yet again. It's been dealt with repeatedly.

I'd take on a challenge like that, it'll probably be next month though, depending on what game it is.

Pfft, I could totally do this. Try having a gaming library consisting entirely of movie-licensed games... among other things (Danger girl, Spice girls the movie game, every single tomb raider... ><).

Plus I've got tons of free time and I love a good challenge.

Seems to me like a great idea. Unfortunately, I haven't had much free time recently and I don't see that changing soon.

Cool challenge, but how do you know if your challenger isn't idling? Honour rule?

if it's 48h in a week's time, then it's easy for me. but if it's 48h in a row - nah, thanks :D

You are an evil genius!!!!

I can't play awesome games for 48 hours in a week let alone a crappy one!

But it is a very interesting bet and seems like fun :)

Challenge accepted :)

Very interesting idea, I like it. Only problems are - I am extremely limited in the games I can actually run on my pc and with my working schedule I would probably never know how much free time I would have when.

Universe Sandbox has steam achivement for one year of total playtime or so

Now that would be quite a challenge!

Yes, the challenge should be: Complete the One year total playtime achievement for one week!

If it's anything in my library I'm sure I can handle it for x hours. I'm good at doing that as it is. I don't know if hipster Gandalf can take playing 48 hours of Secret though.

E: Snuggle Truck and PAM were both added to my library without my hipster approval (HIB adding snuggle and PAM was an unnamed key I used, my mistake) and would be two I'd hate anyone who challenged me to play for x hours.

PAM is a good game. I enjoy it. Much better when you can freeze the time limits. shrugs

Come to think of it, Secret of the Magic Crystals is a fine game. How about 48 hours in a week of Zen Bound 2?

It's too bad The Deadliest Catch was never released on Steam. I'd do a charity stream of it and cry myself to sleep at the end.
