so you're saying it will only link to one stub depending on reigon, nothing you can do about it.
and it would be kosher then to make a GA for this game, regardless of which it redeems as for the user?
can any EU users confirm they actually show TOS as owned by steam?
there is no DOM page for me, and i can't see that this game is actually owned on steam which is driving me nuts.
i am sure there are other steam oddities like this, but it's a first, so i wanted to be sure about it. thanks.

It is the same thing with Battle vs. Chess, which is also called Chess vs. Mate, depending on where you currently are when you open the game's page. Publishers have been doing it for decades now; this is why for example for me the first Xcom game is called UFO: Enemy Unknown (known as Xcom: UFO Defense in the US).
You can easily confirm if the game has activated, since you can check game list for any user on Steam or at SteamDB (and a few other sites).
Since this is a simple dual game title situation, three things can happen: an EU user gets an error, which is unlikely; they get their local version, which is expected; or they get the version you sent out, which is unlikely.
Edit: Oh, one more thing. I advise you and everyone else who gives away or wins this game to report this situation to knsys so it gets whitelisted in SGtools.

thanks for confirming those other titles. i just found that out about battle chess ... minutes ago. ugh.
glad this conversation helped highlight these problematic game entries.
edit: one last question - is there ever any way to get steam to say you own it on the store page? such as, actually buying the title while looking at it on the steam store page?

This is what I gave away from the same source: https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/MMEu2/time-of-shadows
There don't appear to have been any issues with redemption.

Greetings SG fam,
This particular game has me going crazy, because it redeems under the wrong name.
It has been bundled by indiegala before, and most recently by DIG.
The game is called Time of shadows, as seen here http://store.steampowered.com/app/33550/
but the key redeemed as "dawn of magic 2", a stub that has been discontinued.
Does anyone know what's going on?
Is the only way to get TOS on your account, then, to buy it outright on steam?
Why are these bundle sites selling the discontinued keys... do they not know?
Last question - as i have no use for any of these keys i've unsuccessfully tried from other bundles, i wanted to make a giveaway.
TOS is indeed in the giveaway list, and, as according to DIG bundle, that's what this key is supposed to be.
Just wanted to make sure that it's kosher to make a GA for it - any staff can confirm?
Thank you for reading and indulging my OCD.
