Borderlands 2 and Torchlight 2 both get my vote! :)

Very tough competition this year, which is good. Could be Rayman origins, Guild Wars 2, Torchlight 2, Borderlands 2, Dishonored 1 of those already released, but don't forget we are yet to see Assassins Creed III, Far Cry 3 and Hawken, and that EA will push for Mass Effect 3 with Blizzard promoting Diablo III, even if both are totally lame. I would like to see Legend of Grimrock up there, but am not optimistic about it's chances.

It's still too early to be discussing GotY 2011, let alone 2012.

I feel like this year was incredibly disappointing compared to recent years. I don't just say that because of how awesome last year was either, I say that just because there wasn't many great games this year. That being said, I feel it's Dishonored. They just did so many things right and it's hard to not give the nod to an immersive sim that works so well. I'd vote Borderlands 2 but those games are only fun during co-op and are very boring playing by yourself I find. And I'm sorry, but if a game is great in co-op but boring singleplayer, it loses points for me.

It was a good year for niche gamers tbh..
But for the avg guy it may have been boring.
Personal I think its been a above avg year (again type of games I like had a good year) CK2 IE. (way to niche to ever be GOTY) Dishonered seems pretty solid (yet to try it but from the looks) and Xcom is pretty nice and many like BL2 so the avg guy did get some stuff :)

Guild wars 2 is my n.1 so far, followed by kinda underrated Sleeping dogs. Torchlight 2 is also good, but somehow I find Diablo 3 more catchy. I know that everyone loves Borderlands 2, but it just seems to me like the exact same game as the first BL (except some new classes..) and I didn't like the first game much, too (don't get me wrong, they're definitely fine games, but not my thing). Max Payne 3 is a big disappointment, I haven't even completed it yet.
Well, I somehow like the games that most people hate/dislike and vice versa. I'm gonna play Dishonored, also Hitman and Far cry are promising, so it's too soon for choosing any GOTY.

I would say somewhere between Borderlands 2 and Dishonored. But there are other to be considered like Halo 4 (me loves Halo), Assassin's Creed 3 and Hitman Absolution.
I dare to say Torchlight 2 and Orcs Must Die 2 should be on that list but not so sure it's gonna happen.
Unfortunately, considering the way other GOTY were chosen I somehow believe Diablo III will get the title (and no, I don't like Diablo III)

What do you think, which game is going to be Game Of The Year, this year?
My guess is Dishonored.
