The rules are not written in stone and have changed a few times along the way but the way I interpret it old unsolved riddles from when the game allowed more than 1 puzzle at the same time can be still solved for points but don't let you post a new one. Only the latest riddle continues the chain. But in this case it's not a big problem anyway because it got solved instantly ;)
The problem with having more then 1 active at the same time was that everybody was proposing new riddles but hardly anybody tried to solve them so a lot of them got buried without replies like mine about Sheltered.

I think it's more just to make sure everyone has a fair go, Avantyr's question had been up for 10 hours without been solved yet, so I'm sure no one minds too much. Unlike the screenshot game, where the screenshot came from a very specific game, people can be too broad in their descriptions and it can grind the whole game to a halt.
Like if I posted "Awesome FPS" as a clue, and then expected people to run through a list of FPS games until they came to that mid 90s cult classic that no one remembers, then there should be an option to move on after a few hours.

What I find more problematic is posting a new round and then going offline so the answer can't be confirmed and we have no way of knowing when they will be back.
I think the easiest way to solve this would be to consider this a bonus round and Formidolosus can post his riddle now without waiting for this to be confirmed because we have no way of knowing when that will happen.

Yeah I think those of us playing the game are following more or less the thread of who last guessed correctly and has the right to post. If other randoms jump in or if it's taken too long for a solution on the last one then a 'bonus round' could be added by someone, as long as the poster understands that one may not get answered. It's 'out of the flow' so to say.

Sorry for the confusion but I was talking about PYTONTYGRYSI because the correct guess for his riddle wasn't confirmed after an hour. And don't get me wrong an hour is not a huge problem but it's impossible to know if somebody is gone for 30 minutes or for a week if they post a question and then immediately log off after.

Not enough forum games around here, I always love reading the descriptions when I play this one. Basically you describe a game badly and people have to guess what it is. Please respect other peoples suggestions, try not to bump them away with your own. Similar premise to the guess the game thread, I'll start with an example.
