Nope. If I hate a game I will hate it from the start. If the game gets boring, then I will just delete it and remember the fun times I had playing it.
There are games that are hard and it makes me curse and rage, but I still love them and play.

Last time I tried was I think August. It hard-locked in the second DLC (with my route, it was around the 5% mark or even before). Last time I actually played it in the sense of managing to complete most of the intended route was… 15-ish months ago? I have almost 800 hours in it, so I can just leave it behind and play other games.

All Fallouts are single-player games; there is an MMO, but it is fan-made.
NV is also story-oriented, so yes (Bethesda's FO3 and FO4 are dungeon-crawlers, so loot-oriented), this means I played through it quite a few times, even though I had a save file with 112 or 120 hours in it (it was a hoarder file, I stole everything that could go into the player inventory).

The original MMO was cancelled, picked up, then shut down with a reason that can be tied to the acquisition, yes. But there are fans, and they made this: http://www.fonline-reloaded.net/

I feel you. I get at least 2 crashes in a 6 hour gameplay period and I installed the New Vegas Anti Crash mod.

A long, long time ago. Sims 2.
Had to reinstall it several times and not knowing what I was doing back then, lost my save files at least 3 different times and when it happened again, I just rage quit and never touched it again.

Probably, but now I have much more efficiant ways to kill people in games :3 I don't have to put them in a pool and then remove the ladder for them to get out anymore. I mean, what. Who would do that?

I had Ultima IV on the Commordore 64 many, many years ago. Since it was a C64 game (and the floppy disks had little free space), you could only have one save game on it. I had gotten to the end of the game, and saved outside the final dungeon (you could not save indoors). A friend at the time asked to borrow it, and I told him he could copy the disks but NOT to play using my disks.
Of course, I get the game back and boot it up. A new character at the start point. I wanted to kick his ass so bad! Luckily for him, I chose not to.
It wasn't until many years later (and using a C64 emulator) I finally got to finish the game.

It was, and it didnt become bad. Maybe he just got bored from it.

The new Arenas they added aren't the same shape and make the game much different to play, when you have hundreds of hours in something and they force you to play on arenas you don't want to play on especially in competitive it can be frustrating. Also the majority of the time team mates are awful. At higher levels I have had much better luck. Shooting star is where I am at in a few and occasionally I still get someone who I cant fathom making it to that level. I do have bad games and misplays just like everyone, but I own up to them. Just say sorry. But instead usually they blame and bitch and moan. Just gets old. If I had someone to play doubles with or 3s then I probably would still enjoy the game. Also I could probably move up the ranks but always playing solo some times you get stuck with the same people. Alrighty rant over.
Take it easy Nsan. I bought prison architect a good ways back because, I thought due to their trailer they deserved my money, even though I was very confident I would not like the game.

For me it was not just the fact that they have a ton of DLC, it's how much importance is placed on it, add to that the weird weapon balance where pistols can out damage shotguns, useless sniper rifles, every so often they change the skills so much you have to re-spec, and worst of all, over time the game become filled with bugs and bad optimization. When I started played, I played on max settings, it kept going down with updates until I couldn't even keep 30FPS, and the devs are more focused on adding more DLC than fixing issues.

Meant World of War craft. Sorry, just very used to writing it short form. Great game but ya, I rather not waste another couple of years playing it :p.

The monthly sub can be a big turn off but you have to realize that for a big portion of WoW players, they don't play anything else. This, plus the low requirements and shit ton of content, makes it one of the most affordable games on the market. Over the course of 10 years, WoW was essentially the only game I played (outside of CoD and a few console games). When I left WoW 2 years ago, I didn't have much in the way of games. Depending on how you view my current library, it may have been better for me to stick to WoW.

If you want to try WoW without the constraints of subscription (besides the free-trial) search for Elysium Project. Just yesterday they launched their Legacy/Vanilla server from WoW almost like when it was released. It's not the most legal thing to do nor it's approved in any way by Blizzard.

Ah, yes, I do tend to uninstall games that I love (and have a lot of replayability) because I get to be addicted to them...and feelings change with so much ease...just like with people, the ones you love so much have the power to hurt you so badly...and love can turn so easily into hate...but, I never really considered it genuine hate...just, a sort of disappointment. Maybe it was in the heat of the moment why I uninstalled, maybe it's because of certain expectations were not met. Maybe I just needed a bit more space for myself, to try something new, to let things settle down, to mend...but, if a game truly hurt me badly and it felt like it would only continue doing that, I will just let it go for a good while.

indeed, I guess I am more of a forgiver/second-chancer, even if a game is really bad or I am really bad at the game, after the cooling off period I do tend to give it another shot, maybe it was something obvious that I missed, maybe they changed...maybe I changed...maybe someone convinced me to return to it or just simple curiosity (or the addiction isn't over yet). But, after trying at least once or twice again and I do come to the conclusion things aren't really working for us, I do consider it for the best to stop. I did learn from "freakonomics" that giving up isn't (and shouldn't be seen as) a bad thing.

I am uncertain at this point if we are talking about relationships with people or games :)) but it could apply to both :P

Never uninstalled(because I buy all my games digitally and downloads take forever with my connection, so I don't risk it just in case I ever change my mind about wanting to play it), but started hating yes. Europa Universalis 4, in particular. It's one of those Paradox games that take dozens of hours just to learn, but I can put up with that. CK2 and EU3 are even more complicated(and don't get me started on Darkest Hour), and I still love all of those. Because I'm fine with putting in the 60 or so hours to learn the games, so long as afterwards, I can actually enjoy them!
The guys behind Paradox instead prefer to base all their design decisions on the feedback they get on the forums, which sounds good at first until you realize that only the most dedicated fans go there making for pretty skewed feedback. So what you have instead is a new update coming out every few weeks that completely breaks every strategy you had and knew worked, forcing you to invest 20 new hours just to re-learn the game after the updates. Unlike forum goers who play the game every day, 20 or so hours every few weeks is more time than I play this game at all, meaning I've just been falling farther and farther behind. Tried playing it after a few months break and found I had absolutely no idea what I was doing or what was happening, like I was playing an entirely new game. That simply should not happen in a game that you have over 200 hours in. I refuse to invest any more time just to learn it. So I'm done there.
The same was happening in CK2 but thankfully, its devs were brilliant and gave us the option to enable or disable all expansion "features" when we start a new game. So I can still play that despite the fact that I'm just as far behind: Just have to disable every expansion feature from the point I first learned the game in.

That'd be great! They're Grand Strategy Games so think like Civ and Total War? But a lot more complex. So I don't know if you're into that sort of thing, it's quite niche but if you are, there's really not much better on the market. Pick Crusader Kings 2 if you like Game of Thrones and want medieval intrigue and dynasty fights and assassinations. Pick EU4 or EU3 if you like the Renaissance and a more relaxed build-your-empire kinda game and pick Darkest Hour or Hearts of Iron 4(You can also try 3, but that one is far more complicated than any of the others - like, it's on a whole other level and so I never really tried it) if you want a more combat oriented WW2 experience.
(CK2 and EU3/4 have free demos by the way which is really cool. Darkest Hour does too, but the demo is insane and makes no sense and is basically nothing like the game). Oh and if you do decide to check any of them out feel free to add me on steam or ask for any advice you want! I'd love to help. You can also find great guides and tutorials on the forums and on youtube.

I am a Forum Lurker for EU4 and I honestly don't think it is fair to blame it the forum. Most of the time what I end up seeing is people who are just as fed up with all the new content. Whether it be because they think the devs should be spending more time on bugfixing or if they think (correctly) that all the new content isn't actually adding anything to the game. While I totally agree with your sentiments I think the blame for this one rest solely on the shoulders of the developers. One of the forumites most frequent complaints is that they spend to much time changing the game to make it "more friendly" to casual players and not listening to the people who understand the game inside and out pointing out how these changes are making the game worse for everyone and not solving the "problems" that they are trying to "fix".

Hm, if I'm being 100% honest, I don't browse the EU4 forums all that much. I mostly read the CK2 ones and kind of just assumed that the EU4 ones were the same since both games were heading in the same direction. At least in CK2 I think it can't be argued that that's what the forumites want, almost every thread is about how the game is too easy or that it's too simple to keep your empire together or that people should die more often etc...

Huge shame you didn't cause armorgames for example has a series of smart point and click games where you help a soul collecting devil catch back souls that escape from hell by seeing if the evil people still do evil things that made them deserve going to hell (ofcourse they still do) and figure out a puzzle by using his levitation powers to combine items and things that will cause the evil person to die by somewhat natural causes and make them return to hell, forgot how their called though...

Try WoT on console. Much nicer. Also, the grind isn't as shitty as the mechanics differ quite a bit.
No separate skills for driver, radio operator, commander etc. Just the commander who gains the skills and moves on to the next tank and keeps their proficiency regardless of the size if the tank crew. "Detected" icon after 3 seconds of being spotted by the enemy while you're looking in their basic direction and they're looking at you is on by default. IIRC this is eqivalent to PC's Sixth Sense skill. Sixth Sense on console is a further skill which pops up when you've been detected at all.

WoT came out on the 360 and is on the One and PS4 too now. Both One and 360 play on the same servers.

I've definitely gotten burned out on a few games, in particular Binding of Isaac and BoI: Rebirth. I was actually surprised to look at my play history after buying Afterbirth+ and seeing I'd only played a handful of times in 2016.
I've also had difficulty going back to Fallout 3 and New Vegas, even with mods, after originally playing them on the 360 and having to deal with choppy framerates, random unavoidable crashes, bugged quests, etc. Didn't help that the first time I launched NV on Steam I ended up with an NPC spawning in the middle of the bar in Goodsprings, unable to move. Strangely I don't have the same issue with Oblivion, even though I played it on a 2008-model notebook with Intel graphics originally.
As far as deaf developers and toxic communities, I kind of had to stop playing Gears of War 4 pretty quick. Most of the forums were whining about balancing or (rightfully) the lack of splitscreen, offline and/or crossplay in certain game modes on PC. The devs would do occasional balance tweaks, and were generally prompt at fixing game-breaking stuff, but overall most of the time if they had anything to say it was about the new cosmetic items you could spend your real money on trying to win.

Shouldn't have hated Source, it's the best CS there is with its better graphics, better physics, all returning weapons and characters, achievements, better his, and best of all, best mod support ever featuring zombie modes, gun game modes, prison break modes, etc. Only thing I hate about source is not being able to drive vehicles and removal of the shield.

Yes, old Isaac and it doesn't drastically change it, but it definitely become harder. Some old strategies just don't work anymore, like 'The Book of Revelations+Habit=almost immortality', some bosses and regular enemies become eternal and much harder, etc.

Daggerfall. If you've played it you'll probably be able to figure out at least a dozen reasons for why. And several of them have been the cause of me uninstalling the game.
Getting stuck in those massive semi-randomly generated dungeons & losing save data are the two most common ones. For some reason I kept coming back to the game, but these days I seem to be free from its grip.

Dota 2 also here. After 3.5 years just got fed up with matchmaking...

Was the patch bad or what? Didnt hear a lot of terrible things about it. Was even thinking of reinstalling the game. What went wrong with it?
Comment has been collapsed.
Not necessarily bad, but I personally couldn't enjoy playing it no more. Map radical remake was the major problem for me, but a lot of other changes (backpack, new mandatory HUD, etc.) summed up to ruin my fun.
But you still might enjoy it - I have a few friends who are loving it. It was indeed a fresh breeze - thing is, the game certainly didn't need it

No, but I just formatted a 2 TB hard disk full of games so I can copy something else on it. Now I only have like 10% of the games installed.
Comment has been collapsed.
Probably on a want-to-play basis. Right now they were just sitting there and occupy space. I had like 6 TB of games just sitting, now I only have 4 TB. I prefer not to have to wait for them to download whenever I feel like playing something so I installed the top choices candidates for what I wanted to play next and they gathered up over time.

Yeah, I did the same. In that regard it was good that my hard drive crashed (in a lot of other regards not so much). I now only have a couple of games installed and only install games I really want to play and actually will play. I just need to resist the urge to install games that I might play.

The fact is I really wanted to play each of them but never got the chance though :). The difference now is I won't do it unless I'm really determined to play it.

I just formatted my PC and had to download 7TB worth of games in a week.
I'm just waiting for the "You're taking the piss" letter from my ISP now xD

A few months ago, I downloaded 2TB of games in about a day and nothing happened. It helps having an unlimited plan and 1Gbps bandwidth.

I have an unlimited 200Mb plan, but my ISP (Virgin Media) like to get arsey when I take the mick. On my previous plan they used to cap my speed once I'd used a certain amount of data, but since upgrading, all they can do is send me letters asking me to chill out.. lol xD

It's funny how "unlimited" tends to lose its definition when it comes to certain providers.
