I just read the first review I have found, it seem really bad.
here is the review, in French.
tl:dr and don't give a shit about French: repetitive, bad gameplay, not very good graphics (aliasing), etc... just the coop/multi online/offline and the crafting are the good parts of this game, but it's more like a bad H&S than a survival game.

It's good for me, but the only bad thing is that x360ce doesn't work correctly.

Bah that annoys me. I hope they get it sorted. I have How to Survive, but Ive not installed it yet and one thing I liked is that it supports controllers.
Its gotten really good reviews and while on one hand Im tired of zombie games, this one looks like it could be different.

It's quite fun I guess, but when I was playing it, my regular mouse pointer was still on the screen which confused me at times. I died once because I was using the mouse pointer to hit the zombies before I realized that I was supposed to use the aim reticle and ended up dieing.

Just played it for 3.5 hours.
Its not all that entertaining IMO, the combat is kind of annoying. You have to keep your mouse over an enemy to "target" their head. That sounds well and good but the problem is that whenever another zombie starts running by the other one your targeting switches for a moment simply because he runs in front of him for a split second. this has annoyed me to no end, especially when I am trying to shoot the big fatty exploder zombies before they are all up in my grill.
the survival manuals are a bit overkill, so much so that its hilariously bad. I know its supposed to be funny, but Its telling you drink water from fresh water or you die... eat regularly or you wont have focus, sleep or you wont have stamina. Its so common knowledge stuff it just feels somewhat out of place.
The crafting bit is pretty neat, but the amount of inventory space they gives you infuriates me to no end. There needs to be a way to make it larger, because I am endlessly dropping shit to make other shit so I can pick some other shit up. You cant really plan what you want to keep unless you already know what is important, so its alot of inventory management, at least the first time through.
in regards to it being repetitive. The quests are all pretty much fetch quests (at least to the third island), but the combat didn't seem that repetitive to me, there are new enemies frequent enough that you change the way you encounter groups of zombies based on what is coming at you.
overall its like a 6-6.5 for me.. more towards the 6.5. after all it kept my attention for 3.5 hours, but I definitely couldn't have kept playing it...
