Yesterday, i synced my account while there were many games playable for free during the weekend. Now, they stay in my game list as i would own them, while i don't and because of that, i can't enter giveaways for games like Payday 2 anymore because SG thinks i own the game. Any way to fix this?

Wait two weeks. They will then come off of your Recently Played list, and then you just have to resync your account on SG.

There are several games in my list i don't own and never installed or played during free times. I'm not even sure if they are all from last weekend.

I have this problem with Trine 2.
I didn't even install it during the free weekend, but SG says it "exists in my account" >_<

As long as Steam reports you as owning them, there's nothing you can do. Just sync every now and then and eventually it'll go away.

Well, i had this problem since i registered on SG. In the past it took ages to finally Sync it.

With the free weekend i couldn't enter on Awesomenauts nor Payday 2. Then i checked this thread and decided to Sync my account again...

And SURPRISE, problem solved. o:

The fun thing is that I can enter any Payday 2 giveaway and I own it :P

Its always like this for free weekends, probably if you're using steamgifts plus, just wait a while.

Clear the cache, cookies etc. and this probably helps. I have had no single problem after the weekend with those "free" games. Also remove them from your steam library. Because it might happen because they are listed, even though not owned.

This is why I always make sure my account is synced up prior to the free weekend.
