Games that you wanted for a long time and then disappointed you?

i waited so long dead island riptide and its so disappointing me.
Also Diabolo III :(

Dungeon Siege III, I played the original and it's expansion day and night with my wife, I must have ~800 hours in that game, then we played Dungeon Siege II and Broken World at least 5 times through, then they released Dungeon Siege III and we tried to play it and it was a whole different game. You couldn't leave the screen your co-op mates were on, and the whole mechanic was just wrong. They consoled it to hell, and turned out to be one of the worst games I own, total waste of time, waiting for it and the money I spent.

Diablo III, again we played the original right through hell and then Diablo II with LOD expansion the same way, hours and hours we put in. When III was released I was so disappointed they stuck this auction house crap and then even worse made it online only. I was lucky with Diablo III though, I didn't waste my money on it. Blizzard lost me forever for that bad structure of a game.

I will never buy a game again until I either get a chance to play the demo or read up on what it's like before I invest.

Simcity (the new one) Stupid online only garbage.. never will I waste my money supporting companies that do this stuff. The only time I will pay for an online only game, is when it is MMO, as that is the only reason, as far as I am concerned that my computer needs to be connected to play.

Alpha Protocol. I heard so many great things about this game and in the end it was just so broken that i couldn't enjoy it at all. And it's coming from someone who loved Vampire: The Masquerade.

I'm shocked by the lack of mention of Brink, the game that claimed to be a Mirror's Edge FPS because you could jump over stuff some times.

Aliens: Colonial Marines

It hurt even more after seeing the sexy E3 demo on the monster PC that ended up looking nothing like the final game.

Psychonauts... not because it was bad... but because I saw the opening cut scene, watched in pure amazement at what I thought would lie ahead... and it froze... darn you Intel Integrated Graphics!! Why won't you let me play this game??

O yeah I totally forgot about Supreme Commander 2 ;_____;

I'm surprised no one else has said Final Fantasy XIII yet. I got it on the day of release, traded it in the next month. it's not a real Final Fantasy game, there's no possibility of grinding and no towns. It's just long dungeon with a set amount of monsters after long dungeon with a set amount of monsters. Also, Dragon Age 2 because of how lazy the devs were and every CoD after number 4.

Tiny and Big: Grandpa's Leftovers - expect something different

Not the whole game, but Bioshock Infinite 1999 mode. I truly expected it to give a "old-school" challenge and make me rage. Yet it felt even easier than hard mode. This was with "Scavenger Hunt" achievement. In hard I died 3 times to Siren, but once you know the ropes, only once in 1999. Just expected a bigger challenge from "gives experienced players a taste of the kind of design and balance that hardcore gamers enjoyed back in the 20th century".

Maybe the next DLC is "QUAKE" or "UT" mode and really cranks it up.

Rage. The reason why I disappoint in this game is the texture issues in PC, the gameplay is nice enough in my opinion.
