The first one had much more complicated puzzles that also required fast reflexes in some cases. Plus it had some humour.
2 was full on humour (you might even say that sometimes it was trying too hard) with extremely easy puzzles and it was really short too ! It was still fun but it felt like the gameplay had taken a step back

You can try workshop maps :)

Some of them are really hard , and some people are creating some sort of series of maps , so you can download all and try to beat them :)

Max Payne 3 was the reason I stopped pre-purchasing games. Had been a huge fan of the series so I bought it to get both MP1 and 2 and some other junk with MP3 but I didn't really like it. It was fine and all but it didn't have that noir'y feeling the older games had. And Dishonoured was the same. I really liked everything I had seen about the game and I wanted to play it so much but then I notice you can't avoid all enemies and sometimes rats eat your knocked out enemies and you get that penalty. Kinda put me off.

Agree completely with MP3. I thought Dishonored on the other hand was excellent.

Assassin's Creed 3 and Far Cry 3. I played AC3 on consoles and FC3 on both Xbox and PC, and I must say both games are promoted with content you barely get in the game.

GTA4. Boring, ugly, worst controls ever.

Not to mention it was a bad port

Boring, it's just question of taste, but if it was ugly and had bad controls I doubt it's get such good score.

There were many many games that ruined my expectation, but Hitman Absolution takes the spotlight by a whole new level of ruined expectation. And the honorary mention would be Dragon Age 2.

Psychonauts are actually hilarious. One of the best adventure-platformer games in years!

Well besides the obvious Duke Nukem Forever, I would probably say Assassin's Creed 3. I still enjoy it for some reason, but I really thought it was going to be a great reboot to the series. It wasn't.

I didn't exactly want this for a long time, but I think Thomas was alone is a huge bunch of pretentious bullshit created for the sole purpose of providing a quick buck for the developer...

The keyboard and mouse support sucks. I was excited to get it on amazon for 6.50, and later disappointed
to find out its pretty much unplayable without a controller. It doesn't seem to like that I have a dual monitor setup either.
It's a half-arsed port, even the devs themselves said so.

It's actually a great game just that I die way too much which makes me kinda don't want to play it D:

Final Fantasy XIII, The Elder Scrolls V - Skyrim, and The Legend of Zelda - Skyward Sword.

Final Fantasy XIII was just terrible. It's as if Square-Enix said "Let's take everything the fans love about the series, take a bit dump on it, then release that as a game.
Skyrim wasn't a bad game, though it was a little too dumbed down when compared to previous entries in the series. What soured it for me were the scores of bugs, many game-breaking, that I encountered. I couldn't play for an hour without something breaking.
Skyward Sword felt far too linear when compared to previous entries in the series and the hub world felt empty with little to do. Also, the graphics. It's like they tried to combine the realistic and cartoony styles, ending up with a big pile of fail.
