I think he's referring to the vote for fake button

Well, if that is what he wants. That is a bad idea because then what stops someone from reporting a legit giveaway as a fake one?

There isn't. It could serve as a warning sign (where new entrants can think before entering) instead of a actual report.

However that is still prone to abuse as people can flag a legitimate one to reduce competition.

A report button is in the works, although it will not display a counter. To answer Ellendi above, nothing is preventing someone from reporting a legit giveaway. However, that's not a concern, as we're looking at overall trends. If the average giveaway is reported a dozen times, and one appears with over a hundred votes, we can quickly forward it over to the moderators for review.

I think one thing that might discourage bad fake voters is if you aren't able to report something as a fake if you're entered into the drawing.

I don't think that would work for a couple of reasons. What happens if a user comes across a suspicious giveaway, one which they can't guarantee is fake? Do they report it? If so, they'll lose their opportunity to enter. They shouldn't have to make that decision, and you'll simply discourage people to vote overall. I think we'll have to test it out, and see what giveaways rise to the top of the reported list.

This idea of report leading to lost chance to enter is really great.

There should also be ways to avoid some kids reporting every giveaway they don't enter. Maybe if reporting costs a single point for example...

Also one good idea would be to only have giveaways of users with no feedback to last at least a day, so that there is time for the operator to check on it. If you have a positive feedback then you should be able to create giveaways that last less than a day. (hope that makes sense)

Sounds great, cg. I am just worried about people who will have legit giveaways. Don't do too much, now.
