GTA V Online PC Question

I'm thinking off buying GTA V (PC) from Green Man Gaming as I have a 27% discount code and it says: 'This game will be delivered as a Rockstar Games Social Club redemption code.'
Does anyone know if I be able to play the GTA V PC online with my friends if they buy the game through steam and I have it from the rockstar social club?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It uses Rockstar own Servers I believe, not Steamworks.

If you get it through steam, you will still need to make a rockstar social account. So ya you will be able to play with them.

Yes you can play with your friends cause it's same platform > Rockstar :)
