First of all Site looks really good and works smooth.

In the game "Papers, please" I found a bug. The historical lowest price is displayed even though the price is higher. In the chart below you can see that there was a lower price.

Also I would still wish that there is a list on the chart as in ITAD. So that I can see on which platform which price was the lowest. At the moment I have to go to all points and see for myself which price belongs to which platform.

I also think it would be nice if in the bundle view my owned games and games on my wishlist are marked with colors and that it shows all games in the bundle in one window without having to scroll. With colors, I find it easier to see, because the symbols still move when I drive with the mouse over it, what I find a little confusing then. Please note that would be just a personal wish, I can also live well with it if it stays that way :)

Definitely good work and I think I will visite the site more often in the next time.

The more I play around with your site, the more useful it gets for me.

Question:
When I add a game manually to my collection now and mark that I have it on Origin, what will happen when you enable the automatic detection of Origin games in the future? Will it override my manual setting and the game will stay in my collection? Will it ignore the automatic detection because the game was manually added to my collection? Will it do nothing?

I want to avoid any problems in the future and ask myself: Is it worth the time to manually add all games I already have on all DRMs to my collection or should I wait for you to implement the automatic detection? And is there an ETA for the new detection methods?

I'd say that Origin sync will be added within a month. Perhaps along with new collections design which we previewed here - https://www.facebook.com/GG.deals.site/posts/974828209373558 There are so many feature request at the moment (100+) that we need to prioritise. At first we will implement features that will have most impact on site's usability and will maximise chances for users to stay for longer. I personally feel like the requests for wishlist improvements are most crucial.

You can totally add your Origin collection info manually. Once we add support for Origin sync, the data will supplement. Missing games will be added. Games that are already there will stay as they are.

As for other detection methods - Origin wishlist/collection and GOG collection are "coming soon". Other methods aren't technically possible atm. Although we're looking into possibility of cooperating with 3rd party plugin that helps detect info from platforms like Uplay or Battle.net.

Really nice website. I'll probably stick with ITAD for a few things, but try moving with most of the stuff to your site.

I have a few bug reports for you:

  • when I click the bell icon and then on the "three dots" next to the very top or very bottom notification it doesn't show the whole menu, but only the first option (compare with clicking the same button next to any other notification).
  • when you click this "three dots" button and delete a bunch of notifications (10-20) one by one, eventually this notification popup breaks - the contents shift a bit to the right and scrolling stops working

... and a suggestion:

  • it would be nice if there was a way to clear notifications faster. Either by a "Delete all" button next to the "Mark all as read" one, or if it's something you wouldn't want people to accidentally click on and be frustrated then at least make deleting notifications one by one to be one-click. It could be done with replacing the "three dots" with two buttons: one to hide the notification and one to delete it

blazing fast! clean design, i like it. you should remove those "Sign in Sign in...Sign in" you see in pic below, it looks like site really needs my email or something... why three times, also :D

i'm 100% ok with site need of an email, not a problem for me (i also got "caio" username!), but as others said, site sign-in should be "very" optional, something the user can do whenever he'll feel the need.

my two cents: try to not push too much, in that sense, also because you've just started and i, as a user, need some time to understand if you deserve my trust or not...

would be truly nice to find at GG something like https://lorenzostanco.com/lab/steam/ does with tags, something to browse my Collection. so, no "deals", but still very useful to get me coming back even when i don't feel like "buying".

last thing: there's a bunch of peeps here that likes "unintuitive interfaces" and "overly complicated settings", so, your site is similar but different. you won't get that far saying how bad is the other one :P

that said, congrats and please keep up with the -very- good work!

"Sign in Sign in...Sign in" [...] why three times

Alerts, Wishlist and Collection requires sign-in. Maybe they should make it a bit smaller and in superscript so that it better indicates that it's related to the category beside it.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

imo surely is something they'd "fix": if you visit it for the first time, you could have a wrong impression of the site and maybe never come back again, and would be a pity.

"superscript" is really nice, tho. or maybe just a little mouse-over popup like "requires sign in". and maybe adding also "Steam Sign In"

very true that :D

i only just clicked here and there, i'll surely check it more thoroughly.

meanwhile, i see you have the same number for Alerts and Wishlist... is just random or works like that? (still not tried to sync it)

+just lurked your profile... kinda worried, you have 666 ...friends :O

There's an option to add your entire wishlist into alerts. That way I'll get emails if any game on my wishlist is on sale somewhere.

From this point on, I need to delete a friend for every new one I add, just so I can keep that magic number. 😈

When I click on any of the "Sign in" buttons next to Alerts, Wishlist, and Collection, nothing happens. I don't even see the big gray "Sign in through Steam" button next to the flag and currency icons on the top right of the page. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

I'll check it out more in dept soon, but for the love of all that is sacred and good, why did you had to use gleam? :P
Think they perma-banned me for no reason, in4 the naysayers, never used scripts, never autosolvers, did everything by hand, one my one. One day, after login (yes, I can log in, just cant do anything after that) all it said is something along the lines of "too many attempts come back later." That later is like a year and counting.

What it bothers me is that those who did used scripts only got 1 month ban, then could still take games or in this case, tickets to a giveaway.
Support never replied, none ever offered an explanation, because frack it, nobody cares.

So yeah I have no love for that cancer. Shame, that's yet another thing I don't get to enjoy.

btw, I have nothing against you OP, I'll probably still visit and check the other sections, nothing wrong with that, as for before I just offered a reason as to why I dislike Gleam.
(not for anything Steam casted a silence spell, a ghosting shield, dah ugh they just forbid it!) XD

You can already set multiple stores while searching for deals :)

I'm still considering whether or not I should close this thread. It would seem more like a SteamGifts post and less like an advertisement if there was some direct connection to SteamGifts within it, but I'm not seeing any. Remember that we are not your electronic billboard. Advertising should be done within giveaway descriptions and not the forum. One quick fix would be to include a giveaway and have that be at least as important as mentioning your business. Another would be to change the OP entirely to make a presentation of a giveaway by way of introduction (with the site information included in the giveaway description). Whatever solution you decide to implement, please make sure it is SteamGifts-oriented.

I'll check back, later.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm happy to make this thread giveaway-oriented. Or adjust it any way you need me to.

Should I create a giveaway just for people participating in this thread? If so - how can I do it? Or should I just list the open giveaways that I've already created in the OP?

Basically, there are three ways such posts present themselves:

  1. "Hey! This is a giveaway for reason X (which may be celebrating your new website)! Here is the giveaway information, and I'm just going to mention my site incidentally without including any links because those wanting additional information may get it by visiting my Steam Group which is named Y (making sure you spell it correctly so people can find it)."
  2. "Howdy! This is a giveaway for game Z to celebrate my new website! I am totally not going to discuss my site in this post because the description of my giveaway includes everything I want to say about my site!"
  3. "Welcome, everyone, to this post about my new website! I'm here to tell you all about it, including links to my Steam Group, website, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube channel, and any other method I can think of to spread the word! I've even included a token giveaway so I can pretend this post is really about that instead of my website! Tell your friends!"

The first two methods are permitted. The third is not. Please make sure your post does not fit into category #3. (In other words, your OP still needs to be "fixed.")

As a side-note, Support for your site should really be on your site (or even your Steam Group page) rather than on our site.

As far as I am aware, no one among Support Staff is upset at you. My experience with you is that you have always attempted to adhere to SG rules and have asked questions when something has not been clear. As your OP in this thread currently stands, it seems fine to me. You are, of course, free to close it (or reopen it) as you wish since it has not been forcibly closed by Support.

That sounds like most of the "curator" threads posted in the "Group Recruitment" section of this forum -- which is, as far as I know, a section to recruit for SG giveaway groups, and not curators.

I really like the site. Would or is there a way to categorize the deals? Like show only FPS or RPS or MMO?

You can use the filters on Deals/Games view. The options you're looking for should be under "genre" or "tag" (which is determined by Steam user tags from Steam)

This is wonderful: instead of going back and forth between the 3 main sites at which I buy games to see which ones have DRM-free copies, I can just go here and check everything at once. Thank you for providing this service, and letting the community know about it!

Could you add an import wishlist from ITAD? ITAD can export its wishlist as a JSON or CSV. I quit using Steam and GOG's wishlists, so I would have to manually add every one them. Also, with Enhanced Steam shutting down soon, a user script or browser addon that integrates deals on the Steam store would be nice.

We can certainly add support for CSV import. I'd need to check the format from ITAD so it's easy for people to transfer. Thanks for the nice idea.

I have been using your site for the current sales and I like it, but I found a small annoyance. When I am searching, there is an option to filter by the steam review score, but you can only pick one score range. Is it possible to pick more than one range? I would like to include from mixed or mostly positive up to overwhelmingly positive, so I can just filter out the negative games.

Edit: I just realized that I can specify the minimum and max steam review score in the URL and it works. Also, I can use any percent score I want instead of having to pick categories which is also better :)

Is there a way to check if a game has been previously bundled before? I really like that feature from ITAD.

Also, is there a way to add specific bundles to your wishlist / alert rather than the base game? For example, the Project Cars 2 Deluxe Edition rather than the basic Project Cars 2?
