I was given the game Q.U.B.E Now, i like the game very much, however - every time i play the game, after 20 minutes or so i start to feel sick. I feel drained and dizzy. I'm not sure if it's the Gyroscopic effect of all the movement as the perspective of the game is the white room in which you can turn, it turns and moves together with the coloured blocks and the speed. This in combo with each other i think is what makes me feel ill. Last night after persevering for half an hour, I had to go to bed! This has scuppered my hopes of ever being able to go into space lol Was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to themselves with this or any other game?

Maybe it's a problem with the Field of View?

I dare say so. Low FOV makes me sick to the stomach and dizzy in the head.

Sniper Elite Nazi Zombie Army makes me have headaches. Due to the dark and washed out nature of the graphic art I feel that my eyesight gets a bit tired. I don't have any problems with the original Sniper Elite V2.

I suggest you try to change your graphic settings, increase FOV, make the game less bright. Also, if the game is compatible with a controller, playing a bit further from the screen might help.

I think it's motion sickness , I had the same problem after I played Vanquish...I suggest you adjust your fov and maybe remove motion blur if it's possible ( never tried Q.U.B.E so I don't even know if it has motion blur )

The first time I experienced diziness in videogames was while playing Beat Hazard. That game is seriously messed up. I know what how you feel. My girlfriend also can't play some games, she says her head aches. I think it's related to motion sickness.

Mirrors Edge make me sick and dizzy every 30 minutes.
Almost threw up about 50 times but it was worth it!

Although removing Motion Blur and messing around with the FoV made it a little better.

Turning off motion blur is one of the first things i do when starting a game. Most games way overdo the blur, same with dof.

weird I don't get sick or dizzy at all, in some cases I get pissed off when I had to go through that (Spoilers) dark level where everything is all dark.

Well i just tried it again with lowering the brightness and FOV but still the same thing. I feel like i have just had a whole box of ice cream and went on a roller-coaster. My eyes feel crossed, i feel drugged and drained and real dizzy. I think i could be sick really easily rightr now

I think it's the excessive white present in the game. If there is a way to change the color, that maybe helps.

One game I had a few problems was Audiosurf, but only with the default white/bright color scheme. I changed the colors to a high contrast, darker theme, it made the game playable without headache.

Some people can just have that effect from games. Sounds like you'll have to either avoid it or play in small doses. If the game has a windowed option available, you can always go over to another window and pause when you start feeling bad and go back when you are fine. Adds a lot of time to your playtime, but you at least don't lose progress if it takes longer to do an area.

Really hope I don't have the same when I play that game myself, I tend to not get motion sick, but have found some things give me migraines.

Sometimes the ghosting effect of a bad monitor can also be responsible for this sort of thing so if yours isn't up to scratch then you might want to think about getting something better (specifically faster).

First person games give me motion sickness. Doesn't matter how realistic the game is, even Minecraft does it. I've learned to play in such a way that I don't move the mouse around too much, which lessens the effect. But even then, I can only really play for about 30 minutes at a time.

Try moving the mouse gently, if that makes sense. No quick movements. If there is view bobbing, turn it off. Try taking a break every 5-10 minutes.

You have to make quick movements in QUBE. It's part of the gameplay.

My husband said he suffered the same problem. He claims that after he got glasses from Gunnar (I think that is how you spell it), it is not a problem anymore. I believe that is has something to do with the yellow tint helps to relive the effect.
