So here I am playing TF2 for the first time............

I don't know what it is about the game, but while others can drown 100s of hours in it, I can barely stand it in 5 minute intervals. I just can't get into it..

Actually, it's meant to be an original and geeky way for TF2 players to propose (or celebrate their commitment to each other). After it is sent, if the second party accepts, every single player that is online is notified about the couple's engagement and both the sender and the recipient get a wearable diamond ring for all classes. Personally, I'd say it's not my cup of tea, but I guess some people would find it romantic or whatever.

Yeah, it's really crazy how TF2 kind of has its own economy going on. I think the most expensive hat in the entire game is worth over $3000 in real-life... What can I say? People love their hats.

When people earn $10 000/month, $100 for something like that won't bother them much :)

Its pretty common knowledge that a worrying amount of TF2 players need their heads examined. I used to play TF2 pretty exclusively, but its hard to enjoy the game when you're being bombarded by requests to trade items.

People still do buy the ring. I know that there was someone who actually did a marriage proposal using the TF2 ring, and the marriage was successful.

Even though I still think its a waste of $100, at least its going into hat updates :P

I have 350+ hours on TF2 and I've never bought anything from the store... I love the game though!

Only retards buys it. Hats cost more than real hats in real shop. The game is balanced. Good players don't buy items so they could become better than others like in many other games. Like i said only retards who don't know how to play buy it. KKTHXBB.

yeah... that ring was kind of a joke... you buy that expensive shit and when the other person accept the gift, every one in every server, will se that, and bla,bla,bla, funny,funny,funny, joke,joke,joke...
just play the damn game and dont look at the item shop that NO ONE is forcing you to buy... and avoid hat assholes...
the game is fun, really... the people just suck
