Nothing good can come from this thread. I'm closing it. If you suspect feedback fraud, put it in a support ticket. The users doing it need to be punished. Nothing needs to be done about any type of giveaways. That's like responding to a bank robbery by shutting down all the banks and completely wrecking the economy.

My opinion is that group giveaways are contributing to a different community than to the community as a whole. As such, I think that CV should measure your contributions to the SteamGifts community. When people make a public giveaway with a CV requirement, they are saying you must have contributed to the community this much, but group giveaways aren't contributing to the community at all.

Or at least giveaways in the one group?
Reason im asking is that ive seen a few users with $2-3k in CV, and ALL there giveaways are group giveaways. Then you look at the group, and they have 7 or 8 members, and blatantly stating there not accepting new members, with half of the group members having private profiles or not been online for months. Just seems to me that group giveaways are a way to exploit CV.
