I think was about 1000-1500, not sure about exact number. All were public GAs and took almost 2 weeks.

you have 130 entries only.. some people wait 5000 entries before they even win anything for me after 2000

I dunno how many entered, but I was level 3 with 16 games sent before I won my first one roughly a week after I joined the site. Giving games away improves your chance of winning by a lot since you can enter more giveaways.
Almost a year has gone since I joined and so far the only two wins I have in public GAs with no level restriction are one that had 10.000 copies and one with 50 copies. So by not giving anything away, you're shooting yourself in the foot if you want to win something. :)

Thanks, I didn't know that. I had some thoughts about why anyone would give away games (unless they're santa clause) but now it makes sense.

A lot of people don't really care about their level though (although most probably started here by caring). A lot of people like giving games. I for one love giving games here. It's also a great way to dispose of unwanted bundle leftovers.

But I enter only GA I would enjoy. The ones with very low chances to win.

I would guess that your odds increase if you are at least level 1 since loads and loads of giveaways are off limits for level 0 and less people can enter level 1 GA's.

Level 1 is really not that big of a difference. You only need to give away 1 game (no matter the cost) to get there. There are also still a lot of people that can join those. The real difference starts to come in at around level 3 or 4.

Wins started rolling as soon as I joined a private group. But that also meant that I had to give as much as I got.. All in all, it was worth it.

How many games was it you took part in trying to recieve a giveaway here before you first won? It would be actually be really interesting to find the average.
