I got a VAC error -> didn't fixed that in time, got the awesome cooldown
then some random file error -> cooldown again
then matched with 2 drunk russians who left the game after a few rounds, lost 16 - 10 with 17 kills and 15 death -> deranked to mge ;_;

I had VAC errors after replacing my board. You need to un- and reinstall steam and download the game again. That should fix your VAC errors or Enable DEP but that didn't work for me.

I'll try to uninstall and redownload CS:GO again... Steam should be okay since it's a fresh install after Windows 10 upgrade, but CS:GO comes from the backup i made, so maybe...

I have this almost each patch :D dunno why.
When I 1st time fixed this thing I just did everything from the FAQ you've mentioned + checked my HDD for errors because it was sth strange with csgo files - I could redownload them with the "check game files" function infinitely :D
after that csgo started working normally but I got this thing 2 more times after patches. Fixed with reboots.

Those VAC authentication errors are annoying and hard to solve because there are million things that can cause them.
VAC works (ELI5 version) like this: VAC server sends into to your PC "I want to scan something", your PC let is scan something, sends info back to VAC server, VAC server checks info.
Errors come when anything blocks at any point - if your PC won't get VAC server request, error. Your PC won't be fast enough to let is scan, error. Your PC sends corrupted info, error. Info won't return to VAC server, error.
And since Valve has lots of problems with servers lately, I'm thinking there's nothing you can do to fix it.

I don't understand why there are periods of time where i get VAC errors on CS:GO and i cannot re-join the match even if i reboot modem and/or PC. I did everything listed here but nothing worked yet.
Obviously i don't run any kind of cheat for who is questioning him/herself that... And i'm not running any weird process/software on Task Manager. I don't want to get any VAC ban on my profile...
There is also a list about conflicting thirdy part software, but the only one i am running is ESET Smart Security, that's also marked with an asterisk.
I think i've also installed some other softwares like CCleaner but they are not running so...
And i'm pretty sure ESET doesn't interfere with since a friend of mine has it and play my same matches...
The main problem is that sometimes, i can play without any error/cooldown, while instead for example some days ago after two normal matches i got the VAC error at the third one...
I'm tired by all that, it's not possible there isn't any kind of support from Steam/Valve/CS:GO for that...
