Pretty good bundle, got the bta when it was around 2.8, mostly for Shadowrun Hong Kong...now I own Shadowrun Returns, Dragonfall and Hong Kong, I just need to actually get around to playing them lol

When you buy a lower tier, you can increase your investment. The BTA stays at the same level, when you bought tier 1.

I think i'll go for T1 this time, just like with Overwhelmingly Positive. Nothing here interests me except Evoland 2, Shadowrun and Victor Vran and i don't want to spend £2.74 ($3.37) for Shadowrun, a game i own, and a game i have zero interest in (Stronghold).
I was also holding off on the other bundle for the new game that got added but yet again, not interested. T1 for both then i guess.

I bought the bundle and the game isn't even included in my purchase. I was hoping Humble would at least provide a key like they did in the past for other bundles even if the games were not available in the Steam storefront for this region, but that proved not to be the case here. Sadface. (For the record: Not that I really want it for myself, but an extra key to give away or trade would have been nice).

The cost of BTA is not what currently is BTA on HB but rather what swhows on your page when you loaded it (which makes sense, let's say you only have 4$, you see BTA of 3.99$, buy it but in meantime BTA increased to 4.01$ so you just paid 2.99$ extra for Tier 1;p)
there are 2 ways to lock BTA:
- you basically don't leave page, you have page opened with BTA of let's say 2.8$ and only refresh other window to see if it's higher or lower, if it's lower your new window/tab it becomes your new locked BTA and you refresh previous tab.
- You buy tier 1. Best for 0.01$ if bundle allows it, BTA will not change for finished purchase and you can add money to unlock higher tiers later on (up to 1 week after bundle ends I believe). So you see BTA of 2.80 you pay 0.01$ for it and you get tier 1 DRM Free for it. Later on even if BTA is 5$ you can just add 2.79$ to your original purchase and get Tier 2 ;)

not really - one way let's you lock the BTA without purchase or snipe even lower BTA but requires constant PC running, not closing browser and checking all the time, other way does not let you snipe lower BTA but let's you lock BTA for weeks ;p Ofc you could combine both, keep windows open waiting for lower BTA, put 1 cent when you gotta go offline and then continue sniping - if BTA goes lower again you could just screw this initial 1 cent purchase and make another purchase ;)

Alright, fair enough. I had Humble bug out too often over tabs that have been left open for too long so that I no longer rely on that method. I switch tabs till some low is reached and continue observing for a while, then I make my purchase. I also had Humble locking my account for trying to make a $0.01 locking, so I no longer do that either.

strange ;) I basically locked on dozens of bundles for 0.01$ and never had any problem ;p maybe it was not really related to 0.01$ purchase but them bugging out on your payment method (happened to me twice in the past - got locked, but bth times not for 0.01$ orders but normal orders)

It was directly related to the $0.01 purchase. Straight after submitting my payment instead of the usual confirmation screen I got a screen telling me that my order had been flagged and needed additional SMS verification. I have some emails I exchanged with some stubborn support person who insisted I gave them my phone number, which I didn't. He told me I would not be able to further use their service until I had given it to them and cancelled my purchase without further notice. Asshole.
A week and some later I tried purchasing the bundle again and it went through, but ever since I'm hesitant to lock a BTA that way (which is probably what they intended in the first place).
I used Paypal, verified and connected to my bank account, like always, and I do that for quite some years now, never had problems.

I have an open page with a BTA price of 2,81, but I don't even have 1$ on my card at the moment. If I pay, let's say, 1 cent, will that price lock, or do I need at least 1$ to lock it?

if Humble Bundle release a new bundle it's always the same day the same hour ;) If you live in Europe it will always be Tuesday evening ;) so it's the only time to expect a new HB ;)

Looking at Stronghold 2 but not really worth buying the whole BTA bundle just for that as the price has increased to $3.50.
Rust looks good on paper and for $1 I would give it a try but not for the BTA - heard too many negative things about the community unfortunately who apparently treat newcomers in a very nasty way.

If you are interested in Stronghold 2 I have one up for trade. And regarding Rust I can confirm that rumor. You wake up on a beach and get killed, repeat, that's about it. Crap in my opinion.
