Its motion sickness, usually something to do with the FOV (Field of View) settings. According to this page, you can change the FOV by typing "sv_cheats 1;fov 90" into the console. You can change the number to whatever you like, but 90 is the most common for preventing motion sickness.
I have the same problem sometimes, Borderlands 1 caused huge problems for me, I could only play it for about 10 minutes before I felt like I had to be sick.

Go to the HL2 console and type in 'sv_cheats 1;fov 90'

Another thing, so from what I can understand the problem is the fov; around the internet, i found that the players changed the fov via console but this was considered as a cheat and it didn't gave you achievements, now I have this option in the graphic settings if I change it to 90 it will still count as a cheat?

It's a legitimate game setting, why would it be a cheat? Besides, it's a single player game so what does it even matter? Especially since you're doing it to relive motion sickness and not to give yourself some kind of advantage in the game.

I don't really know, i thought that may be only a shortcut to the console setting for the fov that here says that it's counted as cheat and around the net i read that doing that by console it does not give you more achievements in game, but thinking about if it's in the settings and there is no warning about it maybe it won't give me any problem.

You can adjust fov in advanced graphic settings in HL2 and it won't influence you getting achievements or anything like that.
Regarding fov being a cheat - it might concern online multiplayer games like Team Fortress, where (if I remember correctly) FOV was fixed to 90 to prevent abuse.

I felt similar things in Half Life, and yet I never suffered from anything closely related to the usual FOV disease and motion sickness. Or maybe it's because the gliding in this game is just so damn loooooong, and said disease triggered because of that.

yeah, this is a common problem with some source games/mods. also with some 3DS games.
"motion sickness" aka "gaming sickness"
happened to me too(Black Mesa Source), only while playing at night though.
try playing while it's bright outside or turn up some lights around your rig and do some breaks here and then, that helped me. :/

The only game which gave me headaches was Terraria, after I changed the lighting, I did not have anymore headaches.
Try using a mod or something to change the lighting maybe ?

Motion sickness in Half-Life 2 is very common. I remember getting it when I played it during the boat sequences and I've never experienced it in any other games.

This happens to me when I play Skyrim. Someone gifted it to me back when it was first out so like 60/50 dollars (I forget how much) so I feel so bad for not enjoying it... but it's hard to enjoy a game when it literally makes you sick. Someone suggested some mod that helps with that. Haven't tried it yet...

Did you try switching Skyrim to 3rd person view? I use that and it works fine that way. Sometimes the character moves a little goofy but it's negligible.

you must have:
changed your monitor and/or upgraded to a better gfx card

I tried half life 2 many years ago and I wanted to finish it but the problem is that every time i was playing it, it gave me headache, nausea and made me feel strange in general so i never managed to finish it. Yesterday i bought it on steam and today I tried it again and I noticed it's no more like the last time I played it but still make me feel a bit strange and makes me feel a bit warm(I hope is this the word I tried to say) inside.
There is only another game that gave me this effect, the first part where you are a child in fable 1 then the rest it's ok.
Is this ever happened to you?
