The infamous duct tape mod for DOOM 3 replaced all demons in the game with rolls of duct tape. The development team for DOOM 3 were so impressed with this change that they now consider the mod to be canon and their original game to be deprecated. They implemented the mod officially in the BFG re-release and went one step further, changing Doomguy, Mars, and the mouse cursor to be rolls of duct tape as well.

Not sure how they did that, but after completing Doom 3 BFG with all secrets and stuff, the whole content of my harddrive was overwritten with duct tape. Even the attached USB stick!

Wow! I never played the BFG version, but it's great to hear the devs went the extra mile and committed to their vision! Truly one of the most immersive video games ever!
