Haha, the small envelope at the top of the screen manages to catch my attention well enough when entering this site.
As for my favorite game... It's extremely difficult for me to tell... I can't remember how many times I played the Dragon Age games (not Inquisition yet) ... Broken Age and Thomas was alone are great as well. Maybe I should have prepared my own answer before asking the question. ^^

I get what you mean. It usually is that way with old games and movies. They rarely hold through time and are not worth retrying.
I think there is going to be a remake of FF7 maybe you can gamble and give that one a try. ^^ <3
