It is really disheartening to see so many people giving away great games for various reasons and have 2000+ entries and only 150 comments. Is it really that difficult to show some appreciation to those that are doing something that may benefit you? I mean they don't have to post these giveaways. With that being said this will be the last game I give away without setting a contributor amount, unless people show a little bit of appreciation, comment, and actually say thanks in some way. I'd rather give things away to those that are doing the same, at least then we all know how ungrateful people can be. I will also be testing how many times I can "request a new winner" if the winner did not comment.

As long as the winner thanks you, I really don't see a problem. Thanks for putting the game up though.

It doesn't work on public giveaways. You can't make special rules for them. If you want comment only entries you'll need to make them group/private.

Thank you very much!! :D

Yeah, this is how I feel about it when I do giveaways of my own. I don't need pages and pages of mindless, repeated thank yous to validate what I'm doing. Thank me if you win, because then I actually gave you something. Otherwise I don't care unless you actually comment something of substance.
That said, if the giver requests something in the description then I either try to fulfill it or I refrain from entering. So, thanks to Elohelreported for this giveaway as well.

I don't really see the point of adding yet another 'thank you' to the hundreds of comments already there usually. It all just becomes white noise pretty quickly.

yes thanks for putting it up, but as mentioned before, I usually show my gratitude in a personal way when I actually win. Most people get annoyed with thank you posts anyway and to be fair sometimes it feels a bit dishonest when you have like 0,001 chance to win.

Thx. But I'm not sure if you can set some special rules on public giveaway. Just sayin'.

Hehe I don't often comment when I enter the giveaways but when I win I always invite the person who do the giveaway to be my friend on Steam and I thank him/her personally in many contact forms, e-mail, Steam Chat and even in the comments section.
Anyway just receive "Thanks" comments or no comments at all it's almost the same for me, when I make public giveaways is because I wanna give something to anyone else and I'm not expecting nothing in return so... but this doesn't mean I don't understand your point of view here. ;-) :-)
