We did have some legit charity threads in the past. And as much as I did not like to close them - we can't verify authenticity of the money collection. Someone can say they gather to help victims of hurricane and use money to buy PC or even do something illegal. So we don't allow any sort of money collection here.

We did allow to run some charity threads in the past but they were closed when guideline was changed. I know a lot of people have noble intentions and I do personally donate to charity. But on SG we can't verify this kind of actions. And don't want to risk exposing users on scams.

So to not allow few bad apples thought we don't allow any links to fund raising.

What you can do is describe this on your Steam profile. And write in description that you're involved in charity, more to read on your Steam page. Don't provide any details. That way you remove unintentional connection between GA entry and the "requirement" to pay. And whoever wants they can check your Steam profile.
