The month of April is Testicular Cancer Awareness Month. In mid-December 2014, my friend's fiancé was diagnosed with two types of testicular cancer. Fortunately, they caught it early and after having surgery to remove the compromised testicle on December 26, 2014, he has since remained cancer-free, though he still needs to have CT scans and bloodwork done a couple times a year for the next few years to be sure.

My friend largely credits the Testicular Cancer Society website for helping them determine so early on that the issue was likely testicular cancer. The Testicular Cancer Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to raise awareness for the most common form of cancer in men age 15-35. They are dedicated to increasing awareness and education about the disease and providing support for fighters, survivors and caregivers.

Today and tomorrow, my friend is holding her fifth annual charity stream on Twitch to help bring awareness and raise money for Testicular Cancer Awareness and the Testicular Cancer Society. It would be great if you could stop by! There will be lots of game giveaways and some Steam card giveaways as well. Beginning at 9 am EST and running until 9 pm EST both days, she will be playing games, hanging out, and celebrating.
