It's published by EA and isn't one of their "big" franchises. The "unknown" part of that statement is completely unsurprising. On the other hand, that also means EA has less of an influence on its development so it has the chance to be good. :D

It's an awesome game. Afaik, there's something weird going on with the rights to the game. The state of Rhode Island holds them, I think? It's a shame that we won't be seeing a sequel.
