So I heard this was a bit of a special day here. I've only been here since mid-July, since I was waiting for an invite (old school!) so I missed the start of the party, but I love the site and its community all the same. I'm still a lot more of a lurker, so I guess in this party analogy I'm the neighbor who's nice and you sometimes watch each other's dog when the owner goes on vacation somewhere but really you just don't have that much in common and mostly keep to yourselves except for some small talk here and there and, notably, that birthday cookout that you kind of have to invite them to because they can totally see it over the fence and they'll know you're having people over and it'd be way too awkward if you don't have them over especially because you'll need them to watch your dog next month or you'll have to pay the vet to do it and that gets really expensive you know?

Then they show up with a copy of Terraria and raffle it off to everyone at the party. Or something like that.
