Old school Point&Click game but in a dystopian setting. So a bit of a heavy story here.

Anything Jules Verne is like an ice cream sundae in my book. Cozy memories of bed time stories.

You were lucky having that kind of bed stories. How captivating indeed. 🤩
I had this instead. But it was nice :)

My grandfather had a knack for finding great books that could be slightly changed on the fly for children.
Verne was a great source of adventures and curiosity and just the right dose of thrills.
Hey that frog looks very cool!

That's so cool.
I remember my mom reading Pinocchio.

Aww that's such a great story for kids!
My gf and I read it to her nephew a couple of years back because she has a Pinocchio puppet she bought in Italy and he was super curious about it so we read the story in Italian, making voices and everything and my gf was translating it to Portuguese for him so he'd get the story.

The full original story has some serious trials and tribulations, if I recall, but I also remember enjoying it as a kid! An actual Pinocchio puppet sounds charming, and the translating sounds charmingly chaotic.

The full original story definitely is not the Disney story. And we thrive on polyglot chaos, like the UN but cooler :D

I'm planning to get around and collect his works, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas is one of the books that was groundbreaking for me in my childhood. While I'm not 100% sure, I think in a weird way this is where my love for science trip / roadtrip / adventure! originates from. It's magical, and such a great mix of characters, discussions, exploration, dangers that makes your heart pump and description of things never seen by mankind.

It definitely gives you a sense of adventure and exploration and a sense of possibilities also that's a wonderful thing to awake in a young mind. And while not all the science holds to this day, it was more science based than most books of the time, and even now really.
Careful with those dinosaurs on your science trips, ok? ;)
