The plot definitely took a back seat for most of JC2, but in 3 I feel that they were barely trying.
Maybe I just didn't get far enough until I fully succumbed to sandbox shenanigans, but I didn't really like any of the characters or how Rico changed.

It is basically the second game, but now with wingsuits and contractable tethers!
And they made completionist runs (slightly) less tedious.

But yeah, a lot of small quality of life things that I wish they'd add retroactively to 2.
