Everybody who wants to be blacklisted, just say: "Thanks!". All other can tell me one unforgettable MS-DOS game, if you still know what MS-DOS is. ;)

Which one? There are lots of variations. The one I've actually played was Super Mario Bros. 3, but I think it's under some emulator under MS-DOS environment. I never finished the DOS emulator version but ended up finishing using VirtualNES.

I've also played this one, but never finished (as far as I would remember).

I was actually looking for that one too. Tried to search "Super Mario Bros." as title and came up with something else; tried "Mario & Luigi" and it looks like the oldest was released during 2003.

So something suggests that this is not made by Nintendo, but rather a fan-made version:

thats indeed correct, it was basically a homebrew pirate version of the game

although from what I can remember it was pretty great stuf, even with the lack of music
