bump

It's a bit of a pain to create and attach all these carts together, even with the tools at our disposal (thanks ESGST). That would be great if the site offered more flexibility

Since the train creator tool in ESGST didn't have option to specify starting cart number, I made a small script for renumbering the carts.
But it's probably not worth sharing, as it doesn't work very well

I'm still interested , unless it makes other things fail :)

Okay, here: https://pastebin.com/yr0Ce0mb

But i made some assumptions about the description structure in the code as I made it just to edit my carts. For you I added the prompt which asks for starting number. (I already had that stored in localStorage when I ran the script)
The last line with "save.click();" was supposed to save the edited description, but at least on firefox/greasemonkey it doesn't work, so you might have to manually click the save button, which should then redirect you to the next cart.

If I have spare time and others are interested, I could try to fix these issues to make it more usable. Or better yet, try to make pull request to ESGST with an option to add offset to the numbering.

Thanks, I'll try that if I do another pass on the community train !

As I already say, all of these efforts make SG more easy to use, so I'm pretty sure I would not be the only interested!

I updated the script to add two input fields for specifying the starting number and the text in the "Next" link and a button to start the renumbering, but currently it only replaces the first number it finds in the description. I thought of using regex to let users specify it more precisely but didn't get it working yet.

This is why I usually only do like 3-5 carts at a time. Anything more than that really takes a while. But that's the beauty of the community train, it lasts a month so you can come back as often as you want!

That's clearly nice to come back from time to time :)
