Its been so long since I came to SG... I think everything I learned from trial and error.

I read the FAQ... It was quite easy to understand what to do.

I learned by making mistakes....

Hmmm hard to remember exactly. I think i had to look up a few stuff when i hit roadblocks, but i also remember a lot of people reaching out to inform me about the nooks and crannies. Sadly i don't remember specific names 😟

I can't remember how many people helped me but I know for sure that every time I find out something new about SG and Steam these days, it's from WaxWorm. Waxy is like a SGpedia!

I mostly Lurked and learned... I remember my first interaction with a fellow user ((BHTrellis188)) was cz they said they liked my username and WL-ed me. I was very confused about what that even meant. I also remember some solid advice from Oppenheimer when I exited unlucky 7, that Real life should always come first.
I guess these 2 things helped both in encouraging me to using SG and also to limit my SG use in a positive light.

Not really. By the time I came here, I've already been using tf2r for some time, so the whole site seemed pretty similar to that, the main difference was what's being given away.

Create an exclusive group, something like "Cold Steel", only for, you know, folks with sharp nicknames.

Not that I remember it. I have asked specific questions by making own threads. But for the most part the site is easy enough to use and the FAQ/Guidelines answer most questions.

Although they both should be changed for reasons.

I was warmly welcomed by Aklgupta, he was the first one who helped me to get better idea about SG.

Can't remember anyone. But probably I'm just an ungrateful cat with really bad memory.

I recall learning some key things from reading other people's mistakes. 🤓 But there were definitely a few helpful people who clarified things.

I do not remember how I learned the dark arts, only that it took many a moon.

JohnXenoSmith/DaichiKurosawa brought me to sg and teached me a few basics.
After this i read the FAQ and rules, a lot were trial and error + learning by doing and a little bit help from other community members.

Not really jajaja in that moment my english was really bad and get banned for i think 7 days
