I always enjoyed driving games, ever since Night Driver in my childhood! Pole Position and so on into the present day.
I'm using Linux forever, however, I have a Windows 10 virtual machine with GPU pass-through for gaming needs. :) have a good weekend!

I'm using gentoo so I started with this:
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/GPU_passthrough_with_libvirt_qemu_kvm
Also got some good info from arch:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PCI_passthrough_via_OVMF
I have an Nvidia GPU and apparently the windows drivers try to block the card from working on a virtual machine. So I had to do some weird configurations to hide the VM from the drivers. (AMD does not have this limitation)
I tried to use looking-glass so I could avoid have 2 monitors/keyboards/mice but it never really was stable for me. Instead I bought a usb switcher and use 2 inputs on my monitor and just toggle between them.
It was a bit of effort to finally get it running smoothly, but now it's working great. It feels like using real hardware.
I'm no expert but if you have any questions I can try to help, share my configs.

I wish they ever made Burnout 3 Remastered. The sense of speed in that one was insane.

Shocked that I figured that one out! The Burnout games are some of my favourites so I'll definitely play this if I'm lucky enough to win!

Holy shit that was hard.
I ended up on some website "lv.lv" looking through papers with the word lantern / lanterna in them.
