I was always a massive fan of afterburner

I remember seeing that game in the arcade for the first time. I was amazed at the size of it compared to the other machines. When it moved back and forth, I was completely blown away.
Good times!

MAME is an awesome emulator! It's cool seeing all those old games come back to life. It's also becoming cheaper for people to build their own cabinets. A how-to link if your interested: https://blog.codinghorror.com/the-raspberry-pi-has-revolutionized-emulation/

For me personally; I sunk the most money into Marvel vs. Capcom and Soul Caliber.
My true love for arcade machines though will always lie with pinball machines. Their physical nature is hard to replicate into a virtual video game.

So true.... one of my favorite pinball machines was "Whirlwind".... those spinning discs played havoc on predicting where the ball would go.
