You mentioned Necrovision, and that also fits that description so well. The shooting was fun, but the whole game not so much. It's a pity that Dreamkiller lacks that gameplay and visual identity that could set it aside from other shooters, especially with it being a Painkiller transitioning into something unique.

You just nailed it! You said it best. What disappoints me immensely is that core of a good game is there but the execution is lacking
