Groupees DUMP!
Another Groupees Gem. This is a $14.99 game that has a fatal, unprogressable bug when loading the 4th chapter. Not my cup 'o tea, but perhaps you'll get some kicks out of this.. perhaps without tearing out your tail. Let's face it, its BOUND to happen.

Wasn't the bug in 4-th chapter just the thing in original, but not this (presumably updated/fixed) version? Is the bug still there?

Looking at the reviews/discussions it would appear so, sadly.

Just as doslover said, yep, unfortunately it looks like this enhanced edition has the issue. Sad for a 'enhancement'. :(

In addition to some general area, quest, and loot expansions, the Rebound Edition mainly adds in co-op (which, for such a simplistic [but otherwise decent, aside from some inventory UI issues] ARPG, is mostly just there if you need to actively support your kids while they play, since further reducing the simplistic gameplay by splitting up the character controls isn't exactly going to make for a more stimulating experience for those above a certain age).
That said, I don't recall encountering a bug in the original when I played through it, and Steam Community discussions seem to have others that didn't encounter the bug in the original, either: https://steamcommunity.com/app/865720/discussions/0/1678064284160540011/

It's the opposite- the original game is completable, while the Rebound Edition is not. Pity that that is. :S

Substantially so. Since I DID like the original game, both for its setting and its relaxed take on ARPGs (making it a bit easier to pick up and play), I was considering getting Rebound for the updates (New, gameplay-changing loot and gameplay-changing quests? Cool!) and seeing if they made it a bit more vivid, while keeping the low-intensity gameplay.
Well, more precisely, I was going to get the game to see if the co-op was workable but, I figured it'd be something I'd have interest in the single-player on even if the co-op wasn't workable, since I already had a good idea of what to expect (and also since I generally can replay ARPGs several times before getting burnt out on them, so a second run through'd pretty reliably still be fun for me, based on the updated content alone).
Kinda bonkers that the developers managed the energy to put out a new edition of the game, but couldn't manage to follow through on it long enough to fix the one single major bug it introduced. :/

Does that bug occur 100% of the time, or are there some rare lucky people that were able to avoid getting it? I figure if I win and I hit the bug, it's not like I paid money for it, and I'd get 3 chapters worth of fun out of it. That way, my tail remains untorn. ;)

Good thought! No idea tbh. :)
