This is a quick experiment to be sure that I can still giveaway non-bundle games through the Steam store buying them as soon as the giveaway ends. More will hopefully come during the summer sales.
Please be sure you can receive it before 19 June, I would rather not buy it at full price.

Edit in case anyone is wondering: experiment successfull! The winner was based in Russia (which means price is -60.71%) and I was able to gift him the game at the moment of purchase.
I'll be curious to see how it works out for you. I've been too afraid to try to make a giveaway for a Steam gift after the new rules...
I think it is more difficult with a cheap game like this. Because for example in Euros it is 0.99€ and in USD it is $0.99, which is equal to 0.89€ according to SteamDB... So even though they are only 0.10€ apart in price, they are 10.41% apart which is greater than the limit (as far as I've understood it). But maybe this 10% is not a hard rule?

You are perfectly right, that rule about 10% is just one more complication.
Luckily there are websites such as SteamDB where you can check a lot of stuff, including these differences in percentage. Before created this GA, I checked this page, which shows that my currency (€) is the least convenient one for that game, and that should mean that I can gift it to everyone. If I gift it to a user based in U.S. for example, Steam has no reason to forbid it, because I paid it 10,41% MORE than how much they would. Sorry if my explanation isn't very clear, anyway that's how I understood that it works and I'm doing this GA to be completely sure that I got it right. :)

When the change was first made, people reported that they got blocked even when they paid 10% more! So I'm glad valve has stopped doing that, it never made sense. Thanks for sharing your results, it encourages me. :)

Before 19 june because that day the store deal ends and I will only be able to buy at full price.

As a member of the EU italy got the highest price for games in most of the cases, so giving away stuff should work fine if the game's publisher didn't manually set a lower price for your region
