It Follows. It is easily the best horror movie to come out in over a decade.

Martyrs (2008) from Pascal Laugier

Yeah, seen that one ages ago. Quite disturbing. Heard a remake is coming out. Hope they don't blow it.

The Blair Witch Project, you've probably already seen it though.
Or failing that, Fifty Shades Of Grey. Scariest film I have ever seen.... :)

I've always liked The Thing (1982)

I don't particularly like a lot of horror movies; things with jump scares are really "blah" to me. That said, Late Phases (2014) is pretty awesome and can be called "horror."

Yeah it is a solid one. The idea is good although the end is a bit predictable.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's a delicate line for "predictable" endings. If done poorly, they can ruin a story. If done well, they can be satisfying. I think this one was more satisfying than not, but that's my opinion. =3 Glad you thought it was solid!

Insidious and Orphan are decent horros movies too.
Gone Girl isn't really horror but I found it to be much scarier than most horror films.

I've yet to see Orphan although i am afraid i already know the twist. :(

Cannibal Holocaust. It's old, and not over scary. but it is the only movie in a long time to lead me to have bad dreams the night that i watched it

Haven't seen that one. I know it was controversial. I'll check it out thanks. :)

No one can beat classics like The Shining

I agree, that one is pure gold.

I don't really do horror movies, but I think horror/thriller enthusiasts would be interested in checking out a pair of early Disney movies: The Watcher in The Woods and Something Wicked This Way Comes. Just for historical interest if nothing else. I find their existence interesting because Disney isn't exactly known for horror movies.

Now this is interesting. Will check it out.
And added on my WL. :)

Oculus and Babadook!
Comment has been collapsed.
I was really disappointed with Babadook.
Occulus is alright. :)
Comment has been collapsed.
I wasn't disappointed because I didn't see all the hype until AFTER I saw the movie. I saw it as a casual movies night and found it to be very well made. Both that and Occulus rely on other techiniques that don't involve jumpscares, thats why I like them. Maybe not scary, but at least a lot of effort was put into them :)
If you find any good scary movies let me know because im having some trouble finding any lately!
